Disney | Day 2

On the second day we didn't go to the parks. Instead, we visited the Grand Floridian, Contemporary, and Polynesian resorts. The Grand Floridan is definitely the ritziest of the resorts we visited. It has high ceilings covered with skylights and hanging chandeliers, live music in the lobby, and a perfect view of the fireworks from Cinderella's Castle. For lunch we visited the Polynesian resort and we loved it. It has a fun, exotic atmosphere and lunch was really tasty. We did some shopping at the Contemporary and then went back to the Grand Floridian for dinner at Narcoosee's and to listen to the live music. After one of the most delicous dinners of our lives, we went back to the hotel to swim at the pool and rest in the hot tub.

Stay tuned for day 3 at Animal Kingdom and Epcot!

Disney | Day 1

Our first park day was at Magic Kingdom! We planned to get there early because we had a fast pass first thing for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad but we ended up having a bit of a rough start. The night before Wolf woke up feeling really sick so we were all up trying to help him feel better. Thankfully, the next morning he woke up feeling perfectly fine so we kept to our schedule. As I mentioned in the last post, I went out the night before to get a stroller. Unfortunately, I left the lights on and the battery was dead so we had to wait for someone from hotel security to help us. Then once we got to Magic Kingdom, my magic band wasn't working. Dave and Canda brought several magic bands from earlier trips so they could change out the colors to match their outfits and I grabbed one of theirs by accident (I put stickers on mine afterwards so this wouldn't happen again). One of the employees came over to straighten everything out and this is when I saw for the first time how above and beyond Disney goes to make sure you are happy. They resolved the issue with my band quickly and replaced our now missed fast pass to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and also gave us extra ones to use throughout the day since we had a rough morning. Plus, everyone got to enjoy teasing me for the rest of the trip for being so spastic.

Wolf all ready with his pin lanyard and First Visit pin

Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin ride

Canda with her much anticipated Dole Whip

Aladdin's Magic Carpet ride

Pirates of the Caribbean

We ate lunch at Columbia Harbour House with a view of Rapunzel's tower

Walking onto It's a Small World

The kids absolutely loved this ride

Astro Orbiter

Wolf was pretty tired by the time he got to meet Buzz Lightyear so he kept pretending his batteries were low and kept Wolf in a good enough mood to snap a few pictures.

We went on the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train twice and the second time we were on it during the evening fireworks!

We ate dinner at Pinocchio Village Haus which was really fun because it overlooks It's a Small World and Wolf spent most of dinner waving to people on the ride.
